If you are travelling between locations or have multiple phones, you can use the Extension Mobility feature to temporarily log-in to a phone, without having to submit a ticket to transfer the phone to your name or use another'ss extension. These steps detail how to Log In to the phone, change the default pin to a custom pin, and Log Out of the phone.

Steps of using Mobility Extension

  • Log in to the Mobility Extension.
  • Change the Mobility Extension pin to a custom pin.
  • Log out of the Mobility Extension.

Step 1: Logging into a phone with Mobility Extension.

  • Press the "Settings" gear on the phone. Using the Up/Down key, scroll down until you see Extension Mobility Enterprise.

  • Select Extension Mobility Enterprise, and you will be prompted with a Login screen. The username is the First portion of your email (I.E. JoeD@live.siouxcityschools.com - JoeD) and the default password is 112233.
Typing the username is dialed like an older number keyboard on a phone. Press the button multiple times to cycle through the letters printed. I.E. AND = 2 66 3. If needing a second letter from the same button, pause for 3 seconds after first letter and cycle again.

  • After entering your login, you should get a "Login Successful" message, and the phone will do a quick reset. It should them come up with your extension and name for this session.

Step 2: Changing your Mobility Login PIN.

  • After logging into the extension as explained above, navigate again to "Extension Mobility Enterprise". This time, you will see "Logout XXX", and the options Yes, No, and Set Pin. Select Set Pin.

  • You should now see a screen asking for Current Pin, New PIN, and Confirm PIN. Fill in the information and select Change.

Step 3: Logging out of the Extension Mobility on this phone.

  • When you are finished with the device for the day, you can Log out by navigating again to Extension Mobility Enterprise. When selecting this, you will have the above logout screen, and you just select Yes.  You will see the following screen once you are logged out, and then the device will reboot.

Extensionension Mobility is configured to only allow 1 phone logged in at a time. If you move locations without logging out of a phone, the next time you log in will automatically log out the previous phone. This is to prevent phones ringing at wrong locations.
